- Lidars using laser beam can be applied to both onshore and offshore wind power, but are being used more and more in offshore wind power development projects with relatively high benefits in terms of installation cost and maintenance. It has already been used in many offshore wind power projects around the world and as a result, it has secured reliability of measurement data. In addition, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, which did not recognize the measurement method of lidars, accepted the application for power generation business with the data of the remote sensing instrument(Lidar) through the recent revision(December 10, 2018) of the detailed licensing standards for power generation projects which is causing a lot of demand in Korea.

- Lidar is only about 50kg in weight, so it is easy to move and install, and it can measure wind resources by height up to 200m, and requires no special sensors, reducing the time and cost of maintenance.

Product descriptions

ZXLIDARS

ZX 300 features optimised processing for improved wind data quality control. Extensive field demonstrations have been performed on ZX 300 at the UK Remote Sensing Test Site, with analysis of deployments spanning several years over all seasons and weather conditions with results showing excellent performance and a step forward in the existing accuracy that is considered Stage 3, suitable for standalone wind energy assessments, by DNV GL. ZX 300 is fully IEC Classified to IEC 61400-12-1: 2017.
